Today Keira is officially 3 months old, although also officially 13 weeks old. She is so close to rolling from her back onto her belly. She gets over onto her side and will kind of roll from her back to her side over and over. She is getting to be a much better sleeper, going to bed between 730 and 830, and sleeping until anywhere from 1130 to 2, then eats and sleeps again from then until 4 or 5, and then gets up with me between 7 and 830 (this all depends on when Brody wakes up.) I even put her in her crib last night, and she slept for about 4 hours in it.
This morning was interesting. I went upstairs to get clothes for Keira and Brody, and get dressed myself, and decided to go ahead and pick out Nate's clothes and wake him up since it was already past 9. I went to wake Nate up, and realized he wasn't in his bed, I checked Ty's bed, not there either. I immediately rechecked them both, thinking he had curled up under covers. Not there. I ran into my room, checked in my bed, on my floor, not there, ran downstairs, checked the couch, the bathroom, the tub, the toy room, nope. I ran back upstairs, in a full panic now, checking his closet, my closets, screaming his name, I tore off all the blankets and the few remaining stuffed animals on Nate's bed, not really believing this was happening. Nothing. This has now been about ten minutes, I checked under their bed, in Brody's crib, taking out his blankets, under Brody's crib. I started dialing Nathan, who's phone was in a spot where he didn't get reception. I was now sure he was gone. All the while I was yelling "Nate" at the top of my lungs, each time getting more and more frantic. I decided that was it, I'm calling the police, I can't waste another second, when out pokes Nate's head, "Hi mommy, were you looking for me?"
Where may you wonder, did he come from? Why under Keira's crib, which may I remind you has an under the bed drawer packed full of pjs. I hugged him, and told him he scared the crap out of me. "Why mommy, I just was looking for a soft place to sleep last night."
Only Nate.
We regrouped, and I recovered. We had a wonderful day at my friend Meire's house. She has a son Nate's age and a daughter a few months older than Brody. She recently moved to Wakefield and lives very close to us. It was so nice to spend the afternoon there, and we are so grateful she lives close and that the kids play so well together.
Here are some new Keira at three months pictures.
Her cute bib from her Godmother, Auntie Victoria, it says "Future Movie Star"This is Keira cuddling (and eating) her teddy bear blanket.
I had to add this in... this is after our afternoon, Brody climbed on the couch and passed out cold.
