Roll Over Bug Bites

See the huge bump on Brody's arm? This is less than twelve hours after being bitten. It will get MUCH larger.Uncle Travis and KeiraBrody dressed himself in "bay-ball" gear.My new hair cut... I chopped four inches off.
Keira rolling over!!! She had already started , but I grabbed my camera to get most of it recorded.

Bath Time

Keira had her first bath in the tub. She always loves bath time.Looking cute in her towel from her godmother, Auntie Victoria. Keira and I with the same look on our face. (Yes, I am covered in spit up and who knows what else.) Keira has a little booty. Brody kept trying to smack her bum. So we had to end her naked baby time.

AHHH

I am tired this morning, so that is my excuse for this brief post. I worked my butt off cleaning yesterday and doing laundry and organizing, so we could just enjoy this week, but I woke up this morning to what seems like MORE cleaning to do than yesterday! Seriously, you would never know that is how I spent my day yesterday! It is infuriating!!! So now I have to clean ALL OVER AGAIN and threaten the kids with everything they love to play with being taken away if they make a mess.

The Sun is Back!

Okay, even if it has been brief, the point is we actually SAW the sun again. Today we even went to Nathan's parents' house and went in the pool!!! Amazing!
Friday I went to get tired put on my car (that I was supposed to get done Tuesday, then again Wednesday, then again Thursday...) They had said it would take about two hours to put them on, so I sucked it up and took the kids, thinking I could wait it out a bit, until Nathan got out of work, and then we could run an errand or two, and then go back and pick it up. Well I got there at 2pm, and of course Keira had one of those awesome new born explosion poops. I took advantage of the vending machines and bribed the boys with food and proceeded to chase Brody around and make use of the free tire related things and water bubbler to entertain them. The car was actually ready at 3, but Nathan, who had the money, wasn't there until 345 due to lots of traffic. But, we survived (I know that is a common saying of mine, but really it is an accomplishment.)
Friday night was fun, being able to have dinner with our closest friends, and play a game later on. For the first time, we had lots of different food (we usually stick with at least one or two things every time, but not this past Friday.) As I said before, we went to enjoy the sun today, and hung out by the pool at Nathan's parents' house, and play in their yard. Ours is growing fast (still another month before it can be walked on), but man it was nice to just play in a yard today!
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

First Week of Summer Vacation

We have (barely) survived the first week of summer vacation. It rained almost every day, but we were finally able to go spend time at the park yesterday. We met up with my friend Jackie, and her three kids. The boys were SO happy to be out and able to play. I even packed a lunch so we could get full use of the outdoors. Today I am getting some cleaning done and a little baking before we head out to run some errands and I go to the park yet again.
I started to go to the gym again this week, but took it easy, only going twice, to slowly get my body back into the swing of things. Nathan has offered to watch the kids this weekend though, so I can get one extra day in.
I was also able to go to my friend Leah's house to hang out with some friends for a little wine and good conversation. It is so nice to be able to get out like that and hang out with other moms. It is MUCH needed for sanity.
Tonight we are having a mini potluck/game night that is a bit last minute, but I wanted to have one before baby Kai makes his appearance into the world (any day now!) and before Kerrie heads off to Europe and we get bogged down with more activities. We always have so much fun.
On another note, all this rain has done WONDERS for the growing of our grass. Looking down on the lawn, its looks like someone came and spray painted it green. All the baby grass has sprouted up rapidly and we are beyond excited that we will (hopefully) have a gorgeous GREEN, GRASS-FILLED lawn to enjoy in another month or so. The boys are very excited about this too.
My mom is on vacation next week, and we have a few adventures planned with the kids that I am so excited for.
Keira will be three months old next week, Ty leaves for Florida in a week and a half, Nate starts soccer camp in three weeks, and Brody is learning to listen to us more and more (those were updates in a nutshell.)
Will post pics and update soon!
Pray for sun!!!!

They live in California, so this was a special treat!I'm so happy Meg finally got to meet Keira!Look at those big blue eyes!Keira was being very animated.Trying to get a picture with Keira... made my hair blonder. I'm making it lighter and lighter in the next couple of weeks.

All At Once

Keira rolled over this morning! She was on her belly, and honestly I thought it was a fluke thing, so I put her on her belly again, and she did it again less than a minute later. She was very proud of herself, giving me huge smiles and coos afterwards. I will record it when I can.

Happy Father's Day!

Wishing all the dads out there a wonderful father's day! Nathan's brother took Nathan and their dad to a shooting place... picture the kind of place every cop goes to in the movies for target practice. They had a great time. The kids and I visited at my mom's house, then met Nathan back at his parents house.
Ty has only 1.5 days of school left. Woo hoo! (ha!) In some ways I do look forward to summer vacation because of the freedom to go anywhere with the kids without time limits. Now if only the weather would cooperate!
Keira has been doing so well on her tummy, and has really been making progress holding that little head of hers up. In fact, tonight she even raised her chest up and held it for a while. I grabbed my camera as quickly as possible, but am not sure the photos do her justice. She seemed like she was holding herself up much higher in person!
I am feeling better every day, and am even attempting the gym tomorrow night. I have to take advantage of the sudden weight loss and hopefully hold on to it!
Here are some pictures from today. Enjoy!Nathan went to a toga party. I think these pictures are just funny, so I had to post them. The first photo I took in my rush to capture this milestone... she was startled by the flash.Notice there is no drool on my couch. Now the drool begins. Only a tiny bit here. And now there is a puddle on my couch.Brody being silly.Keira being kissed and cuddled.Ty rejecting the picture taking process. He was trying to make faces to ruin them. That is unless he is taking pictures of himself.Keira was making this face at Brody. He was roaring like a lion. She loves standing up.She also loves pulling my hair.Father's Day photo attempt #1#2and #3Keira and Nate (I love this one)Poor Ty always blinks for the camera.Keira getting impatient.Kisses from Ty to calm her down.Keira's mad face.

Brody wanted to hold her, then basically rolled her off of him and this was him trying to pull his arm out from underneath her.
