Hello folks!
I know I've been slacking on my entries, and believe me I will play catch up as soon as humanly possible.
First off, Happy Mother's Day to all of the mommas out there!!! I hope you all got to enjoy your day and felt special and loved! I was able to sleep in (Nathan woke up with the boys and even took them to get Donuts for breakfast so they stayed happy all morning!) until 930am and that was the latest I have slept in YEARS! Granted it was a sleepless night, but I think that's why it was even more wonderful that I got to have that extra rest. Nathan also had the kids clean my car, which was FABULOUS! We stopped by my mom's early in the afternoon and then went out with Nathan's family to a late lunch/early dinner, which was so very good! We enjoyed the nice weather and hung around outside and played with the kids. Nathan's mom and sister had gone through all of his sister's clothes from when she was a baby and had washed them and they gave them to Keira. The clothes are timeless and just adorable! We had a lot of fun going through everything together.
Ty's party Saturday was great! We all had so much fun playing baseball. Speaking of baseball, Ty did great at his game Saturday. The coaches have nicknamed him "vacuum." This is because as they say he "vacuums up anything that's hit near him." It is a funny nickname, and Nathan and I joke that it may not be the best nickname to follow him through the years.
Today was/is extremely busy. After dropping Nate off at school, I noticed someone was throwing away (yes I am now officially a "trash picker", my mom is so proud!) a Little Tykes outdoor play cube/house thing. These sell for a decent amount of money, so I gladly (and just barely) loaded it up in my van. It is true, one man's trash is another man's treasure! Heck, my kids will use that forever! I am very excited about it. I then made my "big" trip to the grocery store. One hour and $250- later I think I forgot a fair amount of stuff, but it will have to hold off for a few days because I have had my share of lugging the kids around already and it's only Monday. I then came home, put all eight million bags away, changed both Keira and Brody who had each left me yummy, full diapers, and fed Brody lunch, nursed Keira then jumped back in the car to dismiss Ty early and head to his doctor appointment. He is a picture of health. He grew four inches this past year (and is now 4'3 3/4" tall) and gained three pounds (he is now 63 lbs.) He is in the 75th percentile for his height and 50th for his weight.
Nathan's mom had picked Nate up at school for me and took him out on a special ice cream date and after Ty's dr appointment we met them back at her house, I picked up Nate-o and we headed home. This brings me to now, Ty is doing his massive amounts of homework, I have a few minutes to myself before feeding Keira again, and making an early dinner and heading to Ty's baseball game which is now in 2 hours. Yikes. Remember when two hours seemed like forever? It now seems like 20 minutes, and my head is telling me I should not be writing, but doing other things instead. So alas, I must listen to this little voice and get some stuff done. I have so many pictures and more to say, but it will have to wait until I have another free moment.
